Purple Hybrid Premier
Compared to the original Purple, the Hybrid Premier mattress provides a bit more pressure relief and a bit more support. This new mattress will appeal to more sleepers and will give the original Purple Hybrid a run for its money. You can find Purple Hybrid Premier mattresses in three comfort levels: Purple Premier 2, Purple Premier 3, and Purple Premier 4.
All three mattresses use the same materials, with one major difference. Each has a different thickness of Hyper-Elastic Polymer. The thicker layer provides support and a bouncy feel. The 3″ version of this mattress is good for heavier sleepers, while the 4″ version is better for stomach sleepers. The 3″ version uses two inches of the Grid, while the 4″ version uses four inches.
The Hyper-Elastic Polymer is laid out in a grid formation that supports the body as it moves. This material is incredibly cool, so it’s the perfect choice for sleepers who prefer to stay cool throughout the night. It cradles the body while it moves and provides most of the mattress’ comfort.
The Hybrid Premier 3 and 4 mattresses come with free in-home setup. They also have a 100-night sleep trial. If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, Purple offers a simple and hassle-free return policy. You’ll get your money back and you can even donate the mattress to a local charity. You can also take advantage of financing through Affirm.
The Hybrid Premier 4 has an edge support layer. The perimeter of the bed is made up of two different foams that closely match honeycomb layers. This helps the bed keep its shape and provide support to the edges, but it’s also firm enough to support occasional sitting. The thick top layer of Hyper-Elastic Polymer provides pressure relief and keeps the spine in proper alignment.
The Purple Hybrid Premier has a unique feel. This mattress combines a Hyper-Elastic Polymer Smart Comfort Grid with a layer of 7.5-inch pocketed coils. This thick layer provides a supportive feel, but it’s not the most comfortable mattress on the market. Some sleepers may find that the feel is too bouncy. The Hybrid Premier is also quite firm and takes a little bit of time to break in. This may be especially true for heavier sleepers, so if you don’t want to feel squishy at night, you may want to try a different mattress.
The Purple Hybrid Premier has great motion isolation, but it’s not as responsive as some other mattresses. It may be too noisy for some couples, especially those who spend a lot of time moving around during the night.
The Hyper-Elastic Polymer Smart Comfort Grid provides most of the mattress’ comfort, but it’s not the best mattress for stomach sleepers. This layer doesn’t provide support to the hips, which is important for stomach sleepers. The Hybrid Premier is great for side sleepers, however. Most side sleepers are looking for a bed with good edge support, and the Premier 4 has that.
The Hybrid Premier 4 offers a luxurious feel. It’s thicker and has more pressure-relieving characteristics than the original Purple. It also comes with a free in-home setup and white-glove delivery.
