Tempur-Pedic mattresses need no introduction; the memory foam brand has become synonymous with comfort.
Side sleepers prefer soft to medium mattresses, while back and stomach sleepers need firmer options. Tempur-Pedic offers all three – even their medium hybrid model with 1000 micro coils!
According to our testers and panelists, Tempur-Pedic mattresses are well worth their cost.
Tempur Memory Foam
Tempur Memory Foam offers superior pressure relief while remaining cool to the touch. It adapts to your body heat during sleep, softening and reshaping to fit perfectly each night. Furthermore, unlike commodity memory foam products that simply sink where your weight rests, Tempur Memory Foam allows easier turning over for rejuvenating sleep.
Hybrid models with steel cores also provide greater motion isolation than innerspring, latex or polyurethane mattresses – ideal for couples as they’ll stay cooler while less likely to feel their partner move during the night. This makes these mattresses an excellent choice.
Tempur Coils
This revolutionary technology utilizes thousands of coils to provide support that fits perfectly to your shape and body weight – helping prevent sagging over time.
Tempur-Pedic mattresses include this technology in their base layers and hybrid Adapt models as a means of adding strength and responsiveness that all-foam beds don’t provide.
Luxebreeze mattresses from Tempur-Pedic utilize similar technology, with thicker foam that feels extra durable and reduced motion transfer for a peaceful night of restful slumber. In particular, the layer’s zoned support features are intended to cradle heavier parts of your body while offering reinforcement beneath shoulders and hips for optimal sleeping comfort.
Tempur Flex Foam
Tempur-Flex mattresses combine the responsive feel of traditional innerspring with memory foam’s comforting “hug”. Unlike their innerspring counterparts, hybrid Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Flex mattresses don’t need to be turned over regularly like their coil mattresses; instead they should remain on an approved foundation and be regularly maintained in order to remain eligible for their 10-year limited warranty.
Tempur-Flex marks the latest departure by the innovators of memory foam from their all-foam legacy, following 2015’s introduction of their innerspring-memory foam hybrid line (the TEMPUR-Choice Collection). The Flex collection uses dynamic support layers of wrapped pocket coils beneath comfort layers, while its top memory foam layer features PureCool technology containing phase change materials that help regulate temperature – though Tempur-Pedic hasn’t released any information regarding these materials.
Tempur Airflow Foam
Memory foam from Tempur-Pedic responds to body weight, relieving pressure from hips and shoulders while contouring around curves to provide extra support.
Stomach sleepers generally favor firm comfort levels for optimal spinal alignment; back sleepers, on the other hand, may benefit from medium levels that reduce pressure on shoulders, hips and knees.
Tempur-Pedic’s ProAdapt Soft model utilizes convoluted support foam layers to promote airflow and cooling, as well as a layer that resists compression for superior edge support – an important feature for memory foam mattresses that often suffer from poor edge support due to soft or medium firmness levels. Furthermore, both ProAdapt and LuxeAdapt models use thicker memory foam layers for improved pressure relief, with all-foam or hybrid construction options.
Tempur-Ergo Adjustable Power Base
The Tempur-Ergo adjustable power base is an excellent addition to any mattress, featuring an array of features to meet every need. It can raise your head by up to 57 degrees while simultaneously raising your feet by 46 degrees, providing multiple ergonomic rest positions, rejuvenating massage options, under bed lighting options and USB ports – ideal for any bed!
It offers QuietMode settings that gently tilts the mattress towards an anti-snoring position and Zero Gravity presets that simulate weightlessness for weightless sleeping, all controlled via an intuitive digital remote that’s simple even in low lighting environments.
Although designed specifically to work with Tempur Pedic mattresses, this adjustable base can also be used with other frames providing they do not exceed its weight limit and it carries a 25-year warranty.
